The details we ask for, why the time zone matters, and what you can leave until later.
Tick the Host role in your settings, then use Create an event. What you make is a draft — it is yours alone until you publish it, and nothing you enter is visible to anyone else in the meantime.
Name. What the card is called. This is the headline everywhere.
Subtitle. Optional second line, if the event has one.
Discipline. Boxing, muay thai, kickboxing or MMA.
Dates and times. A start, and an end if it runs more than one day. Times are chosen from a picker in fifteen-minute steps.
Time zone. See below — this one is worth a moment.
Location. Venue name, address, town, state. You need at least the town before you can publish.
Description. Anything a competitor should know before entering.
Registration window. Optional. If you set one, registration opens and closes on its own at those times.
Entry fee. Optional. See setting an entry fee.
Poster. Optional. See adding an event poster.
BoutHost guesses your event's time zone from the state you choose, and shows you the guess so you can correct it.
Check it. Eleven states span two zones, so a card near a state line can inherit a guess that is an hour out — and every single time on the event follows from it: the start, the weigh-ins, the doors, and when registration opens and closes. Nothing errors, because every value is legal.
Every time shown on your event names its zone, so a competitor in another state is never guessing.
The event's start and end will not save with a date but no time. That is a guard rather than an inconvenience: a blank time used to save as midnight, which is indistinguishable from a card that genuinely starts at midnight, and nothing could flag it afterwards.
If you do not know the hour yet, leave the date blank too and come back — you cannot publish without a start date anyway.
The registration window is different, and deliberately: a date with no time there is fine.
Country is fixed at United States and cannot be changed. Country, state and time zone are one coupled decision, and the state and zone lists are US-only — so offering another country would produce an event whose times the platform gets silently wrong.
A draft is invisible. When you are ready, see publishing your event.
