BoutHost is a combat-sports event-management platform operated by Webpoint Technologies. Organizers use it to create and publish events; competitors use it to find those events and enter them. Anyone may browse published events, and the profiles of the people competing on them, without an account.
You may create an account with an email address and password, or sign in through a federation account that uses Webpoint. The sign-in page lists the federations available to you. Signing in through Webpoint creates or updates a BoutHost account linked to your membership record with that federation.
Memberships with different federations are separate accounts, even when they use the same email address. More than one person may use one address, so a shared address does not tell us two memberships belong to the same person. If two memberships are both yours, you can join them onto one account yourself from Settings, and you may separate them again there.
Only one account per email address may have a password; any others sign in through their federation. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account.
We may require you to confirm your email address before you take part in an event. You can close the loop yourself by correcting your address in your account settings.
You choose your own roles — fighter, coach, official or host. Choosing a role is a statement about yourself, not a credential we have checked. Anyone may become a host and create an event.
Some roles can also be granted by a federation through your Webpoint account. A role granted that way can be withdrawn by that federation at any time, and BoutHost will reflect the change the next time you sign in.
If you create an event, you are responsible for it: the information you publish about it, the permissions and sanctioning it requires, the safety of the people who attend, and every legal obligation that attaches to running it. BoutHost is a tool for organizing and advertising an event. It is not the promoter, the sanctioning body, or the insurer.
Publishing an event makes it visible to anyone, including people who are not signed in. Cancelling a published event notifies everyone who has entered it, and is not reversible.
A host may name a federation that has approved their event. Until that claim is confirmed, it is displayed as the organizer's own claim and is clearly marked as unconfirmed. A federation's mark is shown only once the claim has been confirmed — either by a BoutHost administrator, or automatically against the federation's own record.
Naming a federation you have no approval from, or entering a sanction number that is not yours, is a misuse of the platform and may result in the claim being revoked and the account being suspended.
Entering an event is a request to the host, not a guarantee of a place. Hosts approve, reject and manage their own entries. You may withdraw your own entry while the event is still running, including after you have been approved.
When you enter an event you declare the weight you intend to compete at. That is your own declaration, not an official weigh-in, and BoutHost does not verify it. See the privacy policy for what is shown publicly.
BoutHost does not currently take payment of any kind. A host can state an entry fee on their event, and a host can apply for a merchant account so that they are able to receive payments in future — but no card is charged, no money moves, and no fee is collected by BoutHost or by anyone else through this platform today.
When payments are switched on, the host will be the merchant of record for entry fees on their own event, and this section will be replaced with terms that say how that works. Any fee shown on an event today is the host's stated price for entry, arranged directly between them and the competitor.
You keep ownership of anything you upload or write — an event poster, a profile photograph, a description of yourself. By adding it you confirm you have the right to use it and give us permission to display it on BoutHost: on the page of an event it relates to, and on your own profile.
We re-encode uploaded images, which removes embedded metadata such as camera location. We may remove an image or a description that infringes somebody's rights or that does not belong on the platform.
If you are signed in you can report somebody's profile to us. Reporting something does not hide it; a person reads the report and decides.
BoutHost is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, that every event listed is accurate, or that a sanction claim shown as unconfirmed is or is not genuine. The authoritative record of a federation's sanction is that federation's own.
You may stop using BoutHost at any time. We may suspend or close an account that misuses the platform. Events, entries and the record of changes made to them are retained — a withdrawn or rejected entry is still a record that somebody tried to take part, and events that have run are part of a competitor's history.
These terms will change, and the first change will be the reviewed version that removes the notice at the top of this page. The date above is updated whenever the text is.
Questions about how the platform works are usually answered in the help center. For anything about a specific event, the organizer of that event can see and change everything about their own card.
BoutHost is combat-sports event management — hosts run events, fighters declare the weight they will compete at, and federations confirm the cards they have sanctioned.
