Payments and Payouts for Hosts

Where to Find It

Payments, in your account menu. It appears once you have an event that charges an entry fee, or once you have applied for payouts. It has two tabs: Collected and Payouts.

Collected

Collected lists every entry fee paid for your events, across all of them, newest first. Each row shows:

• Paid on — the date of the payment
• Event — which links to that event's manage screen
• Fighter — who paid
• Your entry fee — the amount you set
• Fighter paid — the total on their card

The two amounts differ because the BoutHost service fee and the card processing cost are added on top of your entry fee and paid by the fighter. They are not taken out of your entry fee. The figure at the top, collected, adds up your entry fees only, with the number of payments beside it.

You need a confirmed email address to open this tab. Until then the tab says so, and Payouts is still available.

Filtering the List

Choose an event from Event, or set a From and To date, to narrow the list and the total. The dates are the dates the payments were made. Clear filters puts everything back.

Downloading It

Download CSV saves the list as a spreadsheet file. It covers everything your filters match, not just the page you are looking at, with the amounts as plain numbers so a spreadsheet can add them up. There is also a Reference column for matching a row to a statement line.

Entry Fees Collected on Manage

A paid event's manage screen has an Entry fees collected card with the same figure for that one event, and a See every payment link that opens Collected already filtered to it.

Payouts

Payouts is where you apply for the merchant account your entry fees are paid into. You only do this once: every paid event you run afterwards uses the same account.

You can apply once you have an event that charges an entry fee and is not yet completed or canceled. A draft counts. Until then the tab explains what to do; a paid event's manage screen also has a Set up payouts button that brings you here.

The application asks for:

• Your business — your trading name, legal name, what you do and a contact email. The trading name is what appears on a competitor's card statement.
• Where money should land — the bank account, with its routing and account numbers.
• About you — the owner's name, address, date of birth, last four digits of their Social Security number, and how much of the business they own.

Your bank and identity details go straight to our payment processor and are not kept on BoutHost. If the application comes back with an error, the four sensitive boxes are emptied and you enter them again.

After you send it, the tab shows where your application has got to. Check for an update asks the processor again, and once the account is open the tab says so.

You Are the Merchant

Your entry fees are paid into your own merchant account, in your name. BoutHost does not hold your money.

That also means a chargeback is yours. If a competitor asks their bank to reverse an entry fee, it is taken back out of your account, along with whatever the processor charges for handling it, and BoutHost cannot contest it for you. The Collected list and your event page are the records you would use to answer a question about a charge.
