Choosing Your Roles

Fighter, coach, official, host — what each one gives you, and how to change your mind.

You Pick Your Own

Roles live at Settings → Roles. Tick the ones that apply to you and save. There is no approval step and no waiting.

Role What it gives you
Fighter A fighter profile, and the ability to enter events.
Coach Identifies you as a coach.
Official Identifies you as an official.
Host Create and run your own events.

You can hold as many as apply, and you can change them whenever you like. Removing a role does not delete anything you did while you held it.

Anyone Can Be a Host

There is no gate on hosting. Sign up, tick Host, and you can create an event the same minute. That is the intended product — BoutHost is for independent clubs as much as for federation-run cards.

What a host cannot do is present their event as something a federation has approved without that being true. See claiming a sanction.

A Role Is a Statement, Not a Credential

Ticking Official does not mean anyone has checked that you are one, and the same is true of Coach and Fighter. Roles say what you do on the platform. They are not a qualification, and nothing on BoutHost should be read as verifying one.

The same applies to the win/loss/draw record on a fighter profile: you type it yourself, and it is shown as self-reported wherever it appears.

Roles Your Federation Grants

Some roles can also arrive from your federation. If your Webpoint membership carries a staff level, BoutHost applies the roles that come with it every time you sign in.

Those are not yours to remove here — they are refreshed from the federation's record on each sign-in, so if the federation withdraws it, BoutHost follows. Host is the one role that can come from either source: you can grant it to yourself, and a federation can also grant it to you.

BoutHost

BoutHost is combat-sports event management — hosts run events, fighters declare the weight they will compete at, and federations confirm the cards they have sanctioned.
