How to enter, what the host sees, and what the statuses mean.
Then open the event and use the registration form on its page.
An event is only enterable while registration is open. The host either opens and closes it by hand, or sets a window when they create the event, in which case it opens and closes on its own at those times.
If the event page shows no registration form, registration has not opened yet or has already closed. There is no waiting list you can add yourself to.
The weight you intend to compete at, and whether to save it to your profile as the weight you currently expect to make. See declaring your weight.
Your entry goes to the host, who approves or rejects it. Not to BoutHost, and not to a federation.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The host has not reviewed it yet. |
| Approved | You are in. |
| Rejected | The host has declined it. |
| Withdrawn | You pulled out. |
| Waitlisted | You are being held for a place. |
You are emailed when the host reviews your entry, and the host is emailed when you submit one.
A published event lists its competitors on a page anyone can see, whether or not they are signed in.
That listing shows your name, the weight you declared for that event, the record on your profile, and your gym and its town. It never shows your date of birth, your age, your email address or your postal address.
Entries that are approved or pending are listed. A rejected or withdrawn entry never is.
Read the privacy policy before entering a young competitor.
Once you have entered, you are emailed if the event is cancelled, if its dates or venue change, or if the schedule moves. That is the main reason a confirmed email address is required.
The win/loss/draw figures on your profile are numbers you type. BoutHost shows them as self-reported wherever they appear, including on the public competitor list. Nothing checks them against a federation's record.
